Radicos has developed and patented TWIN, a hardware-based sensor platform for industrial IoT applications in harsh environments. Sensors can be used as actuators to trigger alarms or activate equipment via e.g. a photocoupler. USPs are low power consumption, wide range, ease of installation and maintenance as sensors are wired to a single twisted pair cable that can be mounted and repaired with minimal effort and cost.

We are currently focusing on production line monitoring (smart factories), agriculture monitoring and fire detection. Additionally we have successfully deployed TWIN on a container ship in the past to detect potential fires in the cargo hold as early and as precise as possible. USE CASES

Use cases have included the monitoring of heavy equipment, conveyor belts and production lines to identify anomalies of temperature, vibration, gas concentrations, pressure, electrical current.

The data collected is utilized to enable predictive maintenance, energy management (precise cooling / heating), manufacturing cadence and linear heat detection for precise fire detection and control.

In all cases the collected data leads to insights that enable cost-reduction of existing infrastructure (e.g. in-time replacement of parts, optimized heating/cooling) with an increase in safety (e.g. fire and malfunction detection) where possible.
